Corrections

This is the record of every correction made to a page on Southern Lakes Tours that changed a fact a reader might act on. The newest is at the top. Each entry gives the date, the page, what it said before and what it says now.

The log

No corrections yet. The site launched in late 2026 and this list starts empty. When the first correction is made, it appears here.

What goes in the log

A change goes in if a reader could have planned around the old version. That covers:

  • start times, durations and pickup windows
  • what a tour includes or leaves out, such as lunch, parking or hotel pickup
  • meeting points and check-in instructions
  • refund and cancellation rules, and whether a price is per person or per group
  • age, fitness and access limits
  • a tour placed on the wrong page, or a verdict that rested on a wrong fact

Typos, rewording and layout changes don’t go in. Neither do live prices and availability, which come straight from Viator and change all the time.

Most corrections come from our quarterly recheck, when every written page is compared with the current listings. When the two disagree, the listing wins, the page is fixed, and the change is logged here.

How to report an error

Email hello@southernlakestours.com with the page, the line, and what it should say. A link to the current Viator listing or the operator’s own page helps.

We reply within 3 business days. If the error checks out, the page is fixed and the change logged here with the date. If it doesn’t, we’ll tell you what we checked it against.

Operators are welcome to send corrections about their own tours. The same rule applies to everyone: the current listing decides.

Booking questions go elsewhere, as our contact page explains.

How a correction is made

  1. The claim is checked against the current Viator listing, and against the operator’s own site where the listing is silent.
  2. The page is corrected. If the fix changes a verdict, such as a pick or a trip we’d skip, the verdict is rewritten too.
  3. The page’s last checked date updates.
  4. The entry is added to the top of this log.

We don’t quietly edit a page and leave the old claim unrecorded. If a page told you something wrong and you planned around it, this log is where you’ll see it.

How tours are chosen and ranked in the first place is on how we choose tours.
